Smt. Diptiben Dave, the Founder and Artistic Director of Nrityam School of Bharatnatyam, is an acclaimed exponent of the Tanjore style of Bharatnatyam Indian Classical Dance. Multitalented Smt. Diptiben Dave is a much awarded, respected and recognized for Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dance teacher, Bollywood dance choreographer, talented stage artist and folk-dance singer. She is a linguist and teaches Gujarati , Hindi and Sanskrit languages.

Diptiben completed her Bharatnatyam Arangetram in 1975 under the tutelage of Smt. Elakshi Thakore.

She further groomed her dance talents and pursued training in Kuchipudi under the guidance of Smt. Radha Bhaskar Menon. This comprehensive dance training empowered Diptiben to begin her career as a dance instructor in Gandhidham, Kutch (1979); being the very first Indian Classical Dance instructor in the entire region!

Prior to settling in the United States, Diptiben has taught dance in Ahmedabad, Delhi and Orissa.
Diptiben’s passion, through Nrityam School of Bharatnatyam, is to promote and preserve the Indian Heritage in its purest form.

Her students have the privilege of sharing a very special bond of proximity, which enable the Student to gain immensely as learning and growth is exponential. She ensures personalized education and mentorship for each of her student, shaping them into a well-rounded robust individual.

She strongly believes her legacy of teachings and wisdom will live through her students! Diptiben is a true cultural ambassador of the Indian Heritage.

This year will mark the 45th Anniversary of the Nrityam School of Bharatnatyam. Sona will be performing the 86th Bharatnatyam Arangetram under the tutelage of Smt. Diptiben Dave.
